Location & Access
The Colca Vally is located just 3 hours and 45 minutes from the cebter of Arequipa, and it is one of the most extraordinary destinations in the country. Throughout the region, you can see colorful pre-Incan agricultural terraces still used today for growing quinoa, corn, barley, and wheat.
Today, the inhabitants have learned to conserve their Colonial churches in Yanque, Lari, and Madrigal, and they continue to wear their traditional clothing.

Climate:
The rain season runs from December to March, while the best time to visit is from April to June. The climate is dry and sunny by day, with cold night. Average temperatures reach 20°C (68°F).

By Air: Daily flights from Lima 1hr, from Cuzco 30 min, from Juliaca 30 min
Transfers from Arequipa to Colca take aprox. 2.5 hours by car.
