Cruz del Condor : Colca’s biggest attraction.
Here is your best chance to witness the majestic Andean condor. The surrounding views are simply stunning at this lookout set 360 meters above the canyon and approximtely 60 km (1.5 hours) from Chivay. This endangered creature with a silver collar and a wingspan of nearly 3.3 meters (11 feet), flies past the lookout nearly every morning around 8 a.m., at 10 a.m., and sometimes in the afternoon.

| Thermal Baths : at La Calera are about 4 km from Chivay. There are several outdoor and one indoor, heated; swimming pools offering incredible views of the valley. Ther are also, showers, a sauna, café/bar, and a small museum. |

| Trekking : One of the most popular trekking routes in the Colca is the trail that links the town of Cabanaconde and Tapay in a circuit that takes two to three days and gives hikers views of impressive landscapes, Cabana towns such as Cosnihua and Malata, and many pre-Hispanic ruins. Learn more> |

Rural Colca Villages : the most interesting towns are Maca, Yanque, Lari and Coporaque. Coporaque contains the oldest church of the 17th century and was once the site of a copper palace built for one of the wives of the Inca Mayta Capac. Many of the temples of the the area are of remarkable architectural quality. The Church of Yanque, is the base for all the Franciscan missionaries of the valley.
